Jimmy...did you do the installation? If so, how much longer did the cables need to be? I'm thinking of doing some 14 inchers on my Custom.
Sorry Max,
I had the dealer do the installation. Didn't have the time to do it myself, took the dealer 7 hours. They also have some one come in and custom make the cables, they are not the Harley ones. Since they did it, it's all under warranty.
That looks really good... before you know it, you will be up to 18" bars like me... LOL...
As far as the install goes, it should not take more than 4-4.5 hours... at least that was what I was told when I had mine done... After seeing what all was done, I should have done it myself... It really doesn't look that bad, and I have already had it apart to adjust the bars... so I know I could have... not to worry though, I will never pay someone to do work on my bike, that I can do myself... THAT is my New Years Resolution... LOL
Again, the bars look hot... and boy, are they comfortable...
Yeah your bike looks great with the 18's. One of my riding buddy's has 10.5" and now regrets not going bigger after sitting on mine. They do make the ride more comfortable, with the wife on back I get to lean into her and keep her warm, . So I guess bigger is better....
