Seven hours is within reason. I did my Wide Glide and had to remove lots of stuff to release the wiring harness so as to pull it out of the neck. Lengthing the wires, heat shrink, putting it all back in the neck, etc. I wasn't in a big hurry and took time to adjust, stand back and look, adjust some more.....heck, I had all winter and enjoyed doing it.
