wifey sez to me, "would you like me to get my own scooter?" or something to that effect, like she might start shopping for her own. I almost fell out of my chair. Said heck yeah because I know riding her own would be more fun than sitting on the back. It was during part of the video he's explaining size doesn't matter and a couple of girls wifey's size are handling their bikes with practically no effort.
IF that guy motorman costs me more money than the price of the dvd, I'm sending him a bill for half!
after reading this forum; it seems like not a lot of guys spouses or significant others want to ride on the back or their own. i'm sure it'd be fun shopping for one for her and teaching her how to ride. have fun with the fact that she wants to!

hahaha my wifes been a few times and has sat on a few bikes... she likes the v-rods... while I'm talking to somebody else in parts, a salesman was talking to her.. you know sitting her up on it .. "get the feel of those forward controls" etc... he asked her if I'd be a co-signer.. when she said Oh NO .... I'll buy when I find what I want . he took thestab, yes he sure did..
'aw, its too bad but... your husband is never gonna let you buy a bike that is faster than his"
Good for you two if she's into riding her own. I know my wife enjoys actually riding, versus just sitting on the back. We have a lot of fun thanks to that second bike.
[align=left]Do you practice the excersizes on the video? I own it and the wife and I both agree that we should practice them but never find the time to actually do it.

yellowtang - I just got the video yesterday and its 30 something outside today. I'm a wuss. I'm going to practice everything in time.. gonna go out and buy some tennis ***** to day to make my own little cones
Hahahaha....I think my husband almost fainted when I said, "Since I'm always on-call and we have a hard time getting away for more then a few hours why don't we buy a couple of bikes?"
When my on-call status changed (along with my job) we were very pleased to be able to just add more time to our riding. I think it has actaully helped our relationship in many ways....there wasn't anything we were interested in together before like we are both into the bikes.
Now we are both working on getting Touring Bikes so we can take even longer rides.
BTW...I passengerize but not often. The more I ride my own the less I want to ride with someone else.
The "Ride Like A Pro" DVD was what made my wife decide to make the move to her own bike. I'd sure like to call up that nice lady on the yellow Glide and thank her!

Yep my wife wants her own now too.
I think its great.
She needs a low bike though, so Im thinking a Softail Classic might work.
But she needs to choose, so Im not the one who bought the wrong one

I tell my riders who take the course from me to find the time. Just budget it out of your regular ride. Practice for 15 before your go on your ride, then practice for 15 mins after your ride. That's 30 mins, and that makes a BIG difference!
