I tested my new cable Internet connection and found that I could pull down at over 9Mbps! For those that are not very computer literate, that's not fast... that's Screamin' fast!

Two issues:
The HD forumsite activity is extensive. I also belong to the BMWMOA and the BonnevilleAmerica forums and they don't seem to have anywhere near the traffic. Also this forum allows signature graphics (others don't). That means your requested web page has to downloadnumberous grahics forthe signatures. That takes time, but it is well worth it after seeing the diversity and richness of the signatures.
PS: Your profile has settings that allow you to turn off the grahics downloads. That will increase your download speeds. Also make sure you have adequate memory and the latest browser upgrades/patches.

Try downloading/install Mozilla Foxfire for a web browser. It runs MUCH faster then Windows Internet Explorer. Also much safer, less prone to virus attacks. I have both in this computer and when I come to this site with windows explorer it is slow as mud. Foxfire loads almost instantly. (standard verizon dsl)

Sorry to bring this back up, but I loaded Mozilla and everything was going good, but all of sudden I am getting an error message that hdforums is "under construction". \\;\\\\\\; It's only HDForums. \\;\\\\\\; All other websites load fine. \\;\\\\\\; I am in IE and the site comes up, but it is slow on IE. \\;\\\\\\; Anyone have any ideas?And yes I get these \\;//\\\\\\;//\\\\\\;//\\\\\\; all the time now. \\;
