I have it, ordered it on the web. Made a big difference in my riding. Here in PR we have a lot of curves and winding roads in the mountains. Using the DVD techniques helps me handle the mountain roads much better. Great confidence builder. I recommend it to everybody.
Sorry Mark, my bad.... Quick question to those who have it and gone through the exercises... Did you dropyourbike while learning? I have a new Fat Bob with no crash bars or saddle bags, a simple drop could do some serious cosmetic ($$$) damage. Thinking about putting on a set of crash bars just to practice with, what do you think? $200.00 is a little steep for practice but could save me alot more if I drop it...
tell me,,,,,, with a garage/closets/basement full of trophies, numerous #1 plates,
bla, bla, bla,,, what possibly could "ride like a pro" video show me?????????
curious???
lotta hoopla to me
Not a thing; Iâm surprised someone as cool as you are would even bother to post anything here.
I also have to agree Ride Like a Pro was the best thing I bought for my Harley. I had not ridden in over 30 years when I bought my E-Glide and it was a bit scarey when I first got on it. I read about RLAP here and ordered it. After watching it I took the bike out for a short ride and found that I could ride the E-Glide.
I am looking for a place to practice some of the things it teaches other than on the highway. But I did go and take my Motorcycle test. Remembering what was on the video I passed the test with only having ridden the bike for a total of 68 miles.
I also think that this video should be included with the purchase of a bike. If you don't have it, get it, watch it and then practice what you learn.
I plan to do just that: buy a set of bars just for practice. I'm finding myself too distracted by worrying about dropping the bike to let go and do the exercises properly. I'm holding back and not getting where I need to be. If you're having the same problem, get the bars.
Agreed like many others, RLAP is a great learning tool for not only beginners but experienced riders also. I am basically a beginner compared to the people I ride with, and it taught me a lot. I gave it to a couple of my buddies who have been riding a lot longer than me and they really liked it too.
The DVD was waiting fo rme when I got home today. That was fast shipping, ordered it Friday night and had it Monday. I expected to wait 3 or 4 days for it to come in. Now if I can just figure out how to wrap the bike in 3" of protective foam while I practice...

I got back into riding a little over a year ago after a 25 year lapse. A friend gave me the RLAP video and I have watched it several times and after each viewing I would practice. I wasn't as good as I thought. I realized all of the wrong things I had picked up in the early years and am now trying to unlearn them. I had been toying with the idea of attending the RLAP course, but Florida is a little out of the way, but while searching the internet, I discovered http://www.ridelikeaprowestcoast.com.
I called and talked to Mark Paz and have enrolled in his RLAP course on May 10th. I fly into LAX, landing at 7:53 AM. The course is a short distance from the airport about 1 1/2 miles according to Mark. The class starts at 10AM. After the class, I board a flight back to Denver. I am looking forward to it as I know there will be a lot of slow riding when my wife and I join up with Run For the Wall on the 17th and hopefully will have new skills to put into practice.
