The first time I tried the owl head maneuver, I surprised myself at how sharp I could turn. No fear making tight u-turns anymore. It's interesting to watch riders at any gathering. You can tell immediately who knows the proper slow riding technique.
Originally I wasn't going to order this DVD but reading this thread changed my mind. I know that I need the training. I have no doubt that my skills are no where near good enough. I just was not sure that the DVD would deliver. I'm anxious to view it and get some decent weather to start practicing.

I always ask riders who want to sign up for the course if they have seen the DVD. Those who have seen it and have had the opportunity to practice the exercises usually dowell in class.
Just watching it boosted my confidence. I'd only been on a HD for about 6 months when I got it, and the 'see through the turns' and eyes and head thing made all the difference in making full turns.

I don't freak out when I drag on my boards now I kinda like getting down on em. I am just concerned that if I get a rider that doesn't know what I'm doing that she will try to correct for the drag and throw the bike off balance.
Good video.
I also liked the 'Fix My Hog' video. I learned about both of them on this site. It's alot easier when you can see it done, and not try to visualize what the manual is telling you to do.

So taker her to a parking lot, explain what she needs to do, put her on the back and practice until she ges used to it and builds up confidence. Start from the basics of getting on, and getting off.
I had the dvd on my christmas wish list and received it. Watched it the other week and was very impressed. Looking forward to the weather warming up and practicing.
