Missing 2000 softail

I'm having a problem with a miss, especially bad hesitation but smooths out at speed, could it be a bad petcock? Seems like it's starving for fuel at idle.

W/O further info, a li'l hard. But if it were starvin' for fuel at an idle, it wouldn't run worth chit or at all high speed. Do not believe it is the petcock. Follow sleepneagle on this one, start with plugs and wires. Is it carb or EFI? If carb, cold be idle circuit, but not the most likely of scenarios. If EFI, have you ever reprogrammed it? Just looking for possibilities.Keep us updated, please. Always looking for more info, you know. Thanx
