WTG, Nightrider. Good post, but EVEN better action on your part. And the "sad" thing is, this "nimrod" would have hit a one ton dually Dodge cuz they had their head up their............. instead of paying attention and SEEING you tap the brakes multiple timesAND abus with lights blinking. Do we really have to issue licenses to ppl like that? Once, again, WTG, excellent driving on your part. "Drive to stay alive"
First and foremost, glad you and any children ok. Great post at this time of the year, make everyone aware of watching out for themselves. I have every kind of light I can think of on mine and especially my wife's bike. I tell her to never trust anyone anytime when she is riding and to always keep any eye out for a safety exit.
I almost got wiped out from behind a few weeks back. I was oing to make a right, but when I looked in the mirror and seen her coming, I wound up swerving left to make her miss me. I was concentrating on her coming so much I couldnt make the right. She squaked the tires and never completely stopped, just drove right on by. Never even looked at me. I yelled at her, but I dont think she even heard me. She was wearing those BOSE quiet earphones.
Clueless f8cking c8nt.
I have a friend who's brother moved from nyc to upstate ny years ago he was living there less than a month... Sitting behind a stopped school bus in a small dip in the rode a young woman doing (what they later said) over 50 in a 35 hit him without ever hitting the brakes we never knew if he saw her comeing but at that speed i dont think it would matter. Sad end to a nice guy with two kids.
To Geoff, Turning left at a light sometimes still makes me nervious...I move as far to the left as i can and watch the oncoming traffic as well as the cars behind me in both mirrors.
That's using your head Nightrider2. I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Motorcyclists are the most skilled drivers on the road because we have to be. The savy we exersize daily on our bikes carries over to our car driving as well. Thus we are better drivers because of our riding experience.
Thanks for sharing that with us. Always good to keep reminding ourselves lest we let our guard down.
