Hi guys, what do you think about this model? Is it comfortable? I'm comparing it with the Fat Bob.
Even if Fat Bob has more personality, the Super Glide Custom offers the chance to build on the 2008 Custom Paint "Apocalypse", have you seen it? It's great, simply beautiful!
By the way, which model do you prefer, and why?
Ciao!
Beautiful paint set. Buy the bike you like best. Stock I like the Fat Bob's appearance better. I almost bought one but ended up with a anniversary Heritage because I use my bike mostly for commuting and I need a windscreen and saddlebags.
My bike fits me perfectly - softails feel cramped, and I also like the feel of the rubber mounted motor. It also handles like a champ. I would try out some different bikes if you can before buying.
The HD paintsets are cool but you can beat their price with most custom paint sets.
I agree with buying the bike you like and want. If you don't, you'll always be disappointed. However, the FXDC at the 08 price, IMO, is the best value (bang for the buck) in the entire lineup. I paid close to $1500 more for my 07 in Nov of 06 for the same bike they are selling in 08 for less money. I'm 6'4" and my FXDC is plenty comfortable to me. The FatBob is growing on me as I didn't like it when I saw the first pictures of it. Now that I've seen it in person, I do like it. But, I sat on it and I don't like the fit for me.
I love my motorcycle..it was between this one and a night-train, glad that I went with the SG. Rode an "acquaintances" Train and it didn't handle as good as my SG. Love the shakin and vibration at idle/low speed, plus I got a killer deal off of a.....uh oh here it comes...nah...we will just call him a "newbie"..
SG was superglide before SG was street-glide[:@]
