Until this evening. A narrow road beside the main one. Revved up, 2nd, 3rd. Crossroads. Better to slow down. Pretty fast. Gripped the brake... and managed, single disk notwithstanding, to lock the front wheel. [:-]
I've been accustomed to performance drive ABS-less cars and got some feel for locking, and for instantly releasing the brake. I was locked for, I think, no more than 2-3 tenths of a second. Perhaps less. The bike wobbled wildly, went off vertical by a good degree. Managed to yank it up again with a quick kick to the gorund.
Lesson learned. Treat that brake GENTLY, you ********!
