heeeeeeyeahhhhhh, stabbing your foot into the ground at speed to prevent a highside. I'll bet your knee or hip is hurting by now. Sometimes this can be trumatic enough to break or shatter a thigh bone.
WOW, came close to high siding or down sliding it. GOOD job on the "recovery" 99.
Hair on my arm is standing up when I visualize the "wobble", YIKES.
So did you sneak the chorts into the laundry hamper and hope Momma don't see themor just pitch them in the can on the way into the house so Momma don't see them? Enquiring minds (or mindless ) want to know.
I did have some *******, but wasn't scared shitless, on the moment. And that gave me pause to think sometime later. 1) I'm starting to push the envelope, and with scarcely 500 miles under my belt, it's not a good idea.
And 2) After being very scared of riding a bike, I'm starting to believe that nothing bad can happen to me. Not smart. That close call has been a sobering experience, and has taught me to think better, and that at my age I shouldn't need such an experience to "think better".

It probably depends from the angle. I wasn't going that fast, when I did it, and did it from middle controls, not forward ones where you are kicking INTO the rushing road, and I see how that could seriously hurt...
Moreover, I'm 6'6" by 210#, and I think that alone helped a lot. If I'd been lighter, I doubt I could have kept it up.
All in all, I've been both damn stupid and damn lucky.
