Default Roadglide Hawaii

Just got back from the big island of Hawaii yesterday and when we were there I rented a Streetglide and a Road glide. Let me tell you that was the first time on a Roadglide and I was totaly impressed with it. It was rock steady on the road and handled like a dream. I have a electroglide and a 46 flathead in the garage right now but I gotta tell you my next bike will be a roadglide. It just blew me away. I just gotta get around that funny front end but I believe its worth it. That is the ultimate touring machine hands down. I hope next years model comes with a little more chrome on the motor instead of that grey paint.

Hey, Wildside.

I've got an '08 Road Glide on order that I should have in a couple of weeks. I drove all of the touring bikes, and I agree with you that the Road Glide has a special feel. Not sure what year the bike you rented was, but the '08 bikes have the black powder coat engine with loads of chrome (not that more can't be added, of course).

The fairing may look odd at first, but I've really grown to like it, especially from the front with the twin headlights. The best thing for me is that it looks unique among the touring bikes.

Cheers!

I know that a RG will be my next. I just have to work myself up to getting ride of my Dyna. Maybe next year, unless I can get my wife to understand why I need two bikes, there is a better chance of me crapping gold than that happening though.

Yea the bike I rented was an 07. Im glad to hear that they added some more bling to the motor. Im off to Vegas in 2 weeks and will rent another Roadglide so I can wind it out abit in the desert. On the hawain islands your lucky to get it out of 4th gear most of the time. Their a little laid back out there.
