I almost embarrassed to tell this story, but back in the mid-eighties, I owned a pair of boots that I installed taps on the heels... They did serve a purpose, it kept the heel from wearing, but I really thought it sounded cool when I walked into a bar and you could hear the "click-click" of my heels... I hopeI don't get banned from the forum for this...
I never really understood why people wore 2 spurs....If you gouge one side of the horse the other side is goin too!..so why 2 spurs?...Just a waste of money...
Let's see...Spurs....here it is! Volumn XXI, Chapter 45, Section 65, Sub Section 12 of the Harley Davidson Dress code states " The use of decorative boot ornaments including, but not limited to, spurs is acceptable only if ONE spur is worn. It has been proven that if the right side of the bike is "spurred" theleft side will go also! Furthermore, those little heel clicker things are strickley forbode!
Think he would not just tell you or tell you to FO? Or would he just shoot you and ask questions later? Or... would he jump up in the air bruce lee style and leave a big scar across your face with his cocky "spur"? I think 99% of them would mumble something stupid about looking cool and walk off and the other 1% would either tell you to FO or why they have a spur. Scarrrry

Next time you guys see a biker wearing 1 spur,,walk up to them and ask them why and what it stands for..................
Back in the late 80's early 90's in Northern Califa large number of guys with different clubs wore spurs. Never thought much about it one way or another, we all use to wear bell bottoms also. Fashion comes and goes. Stop worrying what other people wear and just ride.

Yup theres always that chance? Thats what makes life worthwhile, kinda like why we ride?
personally I would take the chance. Now the last guy with the first Calv patchs? I think he would have just told me why. And I would have approched him respectfully , much like I always do
Jokingly or respectfully or both at the same time. After seeing a couple of responses to the thread
that made sense, I begrudgingly would admit that it couldmore than fashion 1% of the time
That still leaves 99% chance of posing tho
Have a good one.
