I have a friend who wears ONE spur...if he's asked about it, he says that when he was a kid, he met a 1% who wore one spur...and when my friend asked the guy about it, the guy told him one spur was cool, two was not...
Not my cup of tea, but my friend has won Karate tounaments around the world, and has trained other champions...worked with Norris and Bill "Superfoot" Wallace...he's a easy going guy, but people know it wouldn't be healthy to poke fun at him too much...
back when I was in the Army,we wore spurs too... kinda of a John Wayne thing, being CAV and all.... but never flew in them. I can't imagine riding with a pair on.
Don't see how just 1 spur would do much good... but 2 come in handy when your buds have to drag your drunk **** out of the bar at closing time... [sm=alcoholic.gif] That is what they are for... isn't it??
I stopped into my local dealer yesterday, and there was a guy standing at the parts counter with spurs on. Found it kind of strange.
Ya I see a few of thos fellas seems like everyweekend.
Here in Ft Worth TX, you get a lot of thos types wearing spurs for no apparent reason. I just cant see needing to "spur" my ultra along down the trail <shrug> think of the scracthes.....
Down in the stock yards, north of town .. you'll see a lot of wanna be cowboys, wearing ther spurs in the bars, and restaraunts.

Exactly! I have horses and do occasionally ride themwith spurs, but would never be so ridiculous as to ride my bike with them on.
I almost embarrassed to tell this story, but back in the mid-eighties, I owned a pair of boots that I installed taps on the heels... They did serve a purpose, it kept the heel from wearing, but I really thought it sounded cool when I walked into a bar and you could hear the "click-click" of my heels... I hopeI don't get banned from the forum for this...
