For making your steel horse go faster, tungsten spurs are a must. You plant them solidly into it's chromed sides, and it will go faster. No, really! Give it a try!

RE: spurs
There is a reason. I used to know a lady who wore a spur with a large rowel (the little wheel) when she rode because she'd lost the lights on her ride one night. If you extend your leg & let the rowel roll on the road it sends up a nice rooster tail of sparks. Instant visibility.

This is only hearsay, ok?
But I knew this story (which, for all I know may be utter BS):
"Getting the spurs" was a way of saying that one had been ordained a knight. The spurs were the symbol of knighthood more than the sword. if a knight was "dishonored", his spurs were broken off. Up to here it's history, now comes the "story" part: members of clubs got spurs when they did "something" that proved their ultimate loyalty to the club. Usually killing sbdy.
So, people having spurs meant they had killed sbdy for the club.
As I said, not sure at all that this is not some kind of urban legend.
