Built my Evo in '95, 80", 4 spd kick only, 4" over WG forks.
Engine HD top end, S&S bottom, Crane 316-2B cam pushing Chr. moly rods, S&S E carb. Love the mechanical simplicity of it!
Frame is custom built to my design, rigid with a little stretch here and there to accomidate my 6' frame, always loved the gooseneck frames.
Conti Blitz(nice and soft ride) front and rear, 21", 16" wires. Dual discs fr, disc rear.
Can't imagine replacing it with any other bike!
'88 EGlide with the stock EVO. 45k miles and still going strong. Starts every time (thanks to the S&S carb) and only leaks a little oil. Whywould I want torun anything else?
I have my 99 Heritage with 94K on it as my main ride. I see no reason to sell it. I was at a dealer the other day and they said they didn't like to work on EVO's because they were old. Maybe that's the reason mine never sees a dealer I wonder what they would do with a shovel or a pan I plan on buying a bagger next year and it will be an EVO as well.
