Joe376 has it. I've broken arms/wrists 7 times, couple ribs and an ankle. Ankle took the longest to heal, some ligament funk too, and the longest to get back to "normal" with.

Have fun, be careful.

The only time I had a cast? Six weeks. All the rest have plates or rods.

The title of this thread made me think someone's new Cross Bones broke down.

3 hours
"That's the most outstanding answer I have ever heard", Forrest Gump.

Now within this "3" hour peroid [sm=insomnia.gif](or six weeks in dog years)you have various process todevelop; pending which ankle bone is in order you have, osteocytes which are powered by calcium salts whichbuild osseous tissue called ossification from the inside outward and osteoblase which are the immmature osteocytes that build bony tissue surfaces and cartilage combine with osteoclasts which are the large cells that function to reabsorb and digest the excess boney tissue. These all work together to build and regenerate functional structure based on the aviability of proper amounts of calcium and vitamin D combined with phosphate to develop it's hard quality. These processes should be in order within a few hours, however the strengeth of the rebuilding process of the bonedirectlycorrelates toyour bodys metabolism and any shearing or compression causes the process to begin again. Now if the articular cartilage has been damaged your activity will directlycorrespondto the arthritis you encounter anddevelop in your later years on one of the very most important structures in your body. Go ahead and pick you cane you will need it or be the dog and have a better chance at fullrecovery.

Screw casts.

Few weeks ago.

After about 18 warnings from the local police; a friend of mine, a Leo, said, ....."I swear to God, the next time I see you on that freakin' scoot with that chit on, I'm gonna nail you."

Next day I got my Cage outta the garage. Too much hassle.

Anyhow, they both were only fractures.

And btw, if anyone wants to know a great way of attaching a cane/crutch to a Fatty,......

IMHO - You hurry it now, you'll hurt later. Might seem like the thing to do now, but that "invinceability" will pass sometime. When you hit 40, 50 or maybe even sooner, and you're hobbling in pain or have arthritis, no way to back the clock up, then. Guess it is the age old, you can pay now, or you can pay later. But, again, JMFUO
