2 - 4 gb MP3 Player?
I was thinking he could just velcro the thing in his bike's glove box so I want it to be small and easy to use.I think I have 2 gb on mine right now and I'm not really lacking music.
Maybe I'll get him a 2 gb shuffle and if he gets to the point of wanting more he'll take my old nano (4 gb I think)
Bluerose, you can cut a cd in mp3 format (essentially putting mp3's on a data disk) and put hundreds of mp3's (660MB worth) on a single CD without having to buy a player. Most of the Harley HK radios will play mp3. You can cut a number of CD's to pop in based on mood. If ya break one, cut another. Costs a couple of bucks...
Though I can't imagine why the Wing's CD player wouldn't play MP3 data discs. Seems most radios these days come with that ability.
Got really ticked at ITunesbecause they haverefuse to reset computersas end points even if the computer is gone and never accesses the site. They also cannot transfer songs related to one email address to anotherso when I canceled an accout I had to back up all my songs and some still show as locked so I can't use them. Apple just saud "tough ****".

I actually just bought him the 8 gig Nano...not sure how he rates[&:]. I talked to my daughter and we decided the 2 GB was probably fine but since he is not a tech savy guy he would not want to fuss withtransferingstuff on anoffif it's full and would probably most just be adding to it. 8 gig should last him quite a while.
He also mentioned he'd like to put books on tape/cd on it then he could move it between vehicles. That works out because I have a book on CD in my car right now and with the weather I'm commuting on the bike...hate having to transfer the CDs and I can't change them really while riding. He'll need to get aFM transmitter/adapter though for itcause we drive the old cars with no hook-ups [8D] I keep both my phone and iPod cables in my bike just in case.

The Best of Harley-Davidson for Lifelong Riders
I bought a Sansa 6 gig. Just bigger than my thumb. Holds a zillion songs, not i Pod priority format. funny you should mention velcro, here is a picture of my E-glide. I recovered the dash with velcro and stick my mp3, XM, and GPS there. You can operate the Sansa with gloves!
That's very cool. Actually has a side bin on his fairingsimilarto the road glide and they ran the hook up cable in there. Thought he could just velco it to the inside. The Nano should be small enough.
I moved from my iPod to my cell phone...I have 8 gb and it's not proprietary.
Got really ticked at ITunes because they have refuse to reset computers as end points even if the computer is gone and never accesses the site. I still use the iPod once in a while but never buy anything from Itunes. I'd rather spend money on a full CD.
