I am glad that you are okay, Michael. That is really scary. I tend to ride near the center line around corners. If you were closer to the center, you might not have been so lucky. I will remember this next time I am on going around corners.
Glad you were lucky on that one, we've been having too many bike accidents around here lately. Most times I will start in the outside and cut the inside in the middle of the curve, similar to police persuit training.
Where did you find hills around N.O., did you mean a bridge????? Just kidding.
Not to be too much of a smart arss but you asked for comments:
1) Change Underware
2) Get religion
3) Buy lotery ticket tonight
4) Find the two rednecks who ran and enlighten them in Cajun justice.
Count your blessings - I have been there but like someone else, I was lucky enough to be in a cage and they missed me. Glad you are still on the planet.

You beat me to it! I was suspicious when he said "curvy" and "Louisiana road" in the same sentence, then really rubbed my eyes when he said "hill" (though he did say it was small).
BLR, good to hear your situation didn't turn out worse. I don't know how they hit your mirror and not your grip, but apparently your guardian angel was working doubletime.
Besides, Iwatched Easy Rider again just a few weeks ago

Glad your ok, that was one of those need to pull over to get the adrenelin back to normal, misses.
I was taught to "straighten out" the curve.
There is a stretch here that has lots of twisties, that everyone loves to speed on, and I have not ridden it once where I didn't see half the cagers coming around these corners over the double yellow line. I keep my azz as far away from them as possible.
Glad your OK! I had a incident a couple weeks ago, and now find myself on guard even in the cage. I had trouble sleeping for a few nights. Funny how wehave to beresponsible100% for all our safety, and that isn't gararanteed because of others.
