Head Quarters. They KNOW their stuff! I had my heads done by them (along with a set of their HQ-0039G cams installed), and the power increase was insane! In the neighbourhood of 35% power increase, and that was with stock displacement (88ci) and compression. Once the weather clears, I'll be able to enjoy the 95" @ 10.5:1 compression I got done this winter, along with the heads and cams.

Cheers!

Headquarters; they've done 5 bikes for me and my friends...but porting is only part of the whole "package". Here's why HQ; look at the torque curve from start to finish:

Jerry Branch. He's forgotten more about Harley heads then most people remember. At least back to the KR race days. He's the one that got the horses out of the EVO heads and has done the same with the twin cams.

You can do a relatively good hand port yourself, which consists of polishing out the combustion chambers with a dremel tool, and probably take your heads to a machine shop and get an 3 angle job on your valves and you'll be impressed, or pay someone $300-800 bux to do about the same. As Sharley said though, it's only part of the package. You gotta consider the cam(s) ignition, carb if that be the case, and exhaust too. It's all "part of the package". BTW; Hillsidecycle appear to know what they are doing too as far as porting goes.

Ken you might want to consider asking the person that will be doing the R&R of the heads not unless your doing it yourself.Branch,Headquarters,Zippers there are numerous good shops out there.I feel it's always good to get the imput from the shop that would be doing the tear down. We do most all of our own. It's time consuming and if you do not have access to a flow bench, your really not sure onthe results. Unless you have been doing it for a long time.
