When I was about 6 I saw my first dead person. some guy on a motorcycle got hit by or hit, I don't know who's fault, ford pickup. That happened about 34 years ago. I guess what I am trying to say is, his death did not keep me from climbing on a bike. I guess I should mention I don't cross that intersection on my bike very often, I avoid it.
it pains me whenever i hear of stuff like that. i hear ringing in my ears everytime a non-rider finds out i own a bike, the first thing out of their mouths is usually that they know someone who was killed on a bike.
the other thing i have noticed; every year when we have the toys for tots run the most inexperienced riders are in the procession. since i live in so fla there are usually 70-80000 bikes in the run. i have not participated the last 2 years because of the idiotic things i have seen these people do. no one has ever gotten killed because the avg speed on the run is about 15 mph, but ive seen some people reall **** up nice rides.
im sorry to hear about the death of a rider and i hope the other rider heals soon
I am Sorry to hear about the Accidents and wish those well in their Recovery and the Best for their Families. I always keep these things in mind when I ride, I have never got to ride in a large group so I don't know, I ride mostly with my dad, just the 2 of us on our Bikes,I do not get in a Hurry and have learned to slow down and take it easy. I always keep my eyesopen for the Idiots!
