so my buddy is a huge fan of harleys. it's his birthday in a couple of weeks and thought i'd get him a book on harleys. i've narrowed it down to 3 books and am just curious if any of you have either of these and which one you'd reccommend.
The middle one. It looks like a nice coffee table one. It is a hardback.
Not the first, because it is an aftermarket service manual, which isn't usually the best as far as service manuals goes.
Not the third, because it is a book of a lot of opinion and BS that Donnie Petersen is famous for throwing around, plus it is a paperback, so it ain't really for "show".
If rides a 2004-2006 Sporty and he's into a "how to" book the first might be OK.
If he's more into a History of Harley, then go for the second book.
Donny's guide is a good read if your a bit of a gearhead. I'm actually reading it now.
This book is available in hard cover (autographed if you so desire).
