If you smell Pledge & then Plexus and then Spectro, you'll see the stuff is pretty much the same, save for the price. I knew people who used Pledge on their bikes long before the other stuff started coming out. I use Ipone on my bike. The spray they have does chrome, plastic & metal (not rubber), and cleans off quickly. good for the quickie-clean of the bike.
Back in the late 70's, when I was on Okinawa, they used plain old lemon Pledge. It was easier to use than waxing, and you didn't own anything metal there without waxing it!! You could watch things rust. Some just used it on their pipes, others used it on everything.
I like your new look there Gumby. I use a product called Blawkhawk Motorcyle Cleaner has anybody heard of it. I can't find it anywhere used to buy it from Walmart. Sorry for the Hijack. Pledge works good by the way non wax though.
Lemon. It cleans, too. Use it on your headlight, windshield, and helmet visor (helmet threads notwithstanding).
don't use the Orange flavor. There's something different in that one that leaves an oil residue.
Lemon Pledge isn't as robust as Turtle wax or the like, but it's quick, it cleans off the bugs, and keeps the bike looking good between full-on wax jobs.
