My wife thinks I'm nuts! I just ran out the door with her can of Lemon Pledge and I'll be damned!!! It really works and works well! This is one of the best threads we've had in a long time. I found a new cleaner that won't cost me out the wazooooooooooooo so I can buy more chit for my scoot. Thanks HDF!
Thanks for the feedback. Sounds like there's no real advantage to Pledge overamist detailerlike Meguiar's.
Price. Overall cost. Cost per use. Moolah. Cost-effective. I'ma figgin cheapskate. Dough. A penny saved is a penny earned. Didn't your mother teach you to wash your hands after you went to the bathroom? No, mymother taught me not to pee on my hands. Price tag. Asking price.Total. Checkout. Debit. Fee. Amount.Outlay. Sum total. Price per ounce. Expense. TCO...
I use Pledge Lemon Spray on the Windshield, I would not use it on Paint/Chrome, I heard it has Alcohol in it and will deteriorate the Windshield Coating. I use Protectall Paste/Wax/Polisher/Cleaner on the Paint, Metal, Chrome. I may have to start using the Protectall on the Windshield also. There is another brand Plexus that they use too.

I've said it before in many threads, but not Lemon Pledge. I use regular, Original Pledge.
Lemon Pledge has citric acid in it, duh.
Regular Pledge doesn't streak for me.
I've been using Pledge on cars, bikes, you name itfor decades with no harm to anything.
PS This bike belowis 22 years old. Pledge, Westley's Bleche Wite, occasionally Simichrome polish, and whatevername-brand car wash soap is on sale - never a problem.
I think I will try the Pledge on the wifes bike when I get home.....
I have heard not to wax a new bike for a while because the paint needs to fully cure.....anyone care to input on this?
Wifes bike is a 05, mine will be a 08...
I can't comment on the time before wax. They change paint formulas so often now due to EPA etc.
It used to be that with lacquer or enamal you waited. Then they came out with catalyzed paints thathardened quickly. Now they are even using some water basedpaints on new cars.
I'd wait 90 days but what do I know?
