Agree...that plastic thing under the seat has to go...gone, good-bye, right now.

Don't care what it under there...wires, battery, spring, empty space, or whatever. Anything would look better than that piece of **** plastic cover, or whatever it is called.
I figure a nice piece of black leather, maybe tooled with a set of wings or somethin', would fit the theme. My '78 FLH had an original HD pogo stick seat. I made a piece that started as the cover for the split tanks and went on under the seat. Had a set of bush pilot wings tooled into it.

I like the plastic cover - not necessarily from a looks perspective, but I like the way it covers up the electrics etc. I wish they made one for my bike so I wouldn't have to cover that stuff up with a towel when I wash the bike (always take the seat off when I wash the bike).

I agree about the looks of the seat itself though - I don't like the way it looks and would probably change it out for a more traditional look spring seat or try to see if a Heritage springer seat would fit.

I've made up my mind that I will get a Xbones. The only question is when....

Oh and can everyone stop getting the black one. There can only be so many "bad-asses" per mile. It's gonna suck pulling into the parking lot with 3 other black Crossbones there already.

Note for you sensitive people: ThisDOES NOTmean that I do not like the black!

For me, It's the rear fender that ruins it the most. Shouda used a variation of the Fatboy fender with a tombstone tail light.

I agree. The stock fender just doesn't fit with the rest of the design IMO.

It was funny, when I first saw one it looked pretty cool until I saw that plastic pan under the seat, then that was all I could see. The salesman said it was telling anyone that would listen that it makes it easier to change out the seat if you want to go two-up.
