I wish I could find a rate like that. Half the outfits in The Great White North won't even insure Harleys. Most of those that do are pirates, with insane deductibles. One outfit offered me a policy with a $2500 deductible. That was the LOWEST I could get from them. I asked them why, and they said it was 10% of what I'd valued the bike at, and that was their policy. I told them my wife had her Vulcan with them, and she had a $500 deductible. Their response? "Oh, that's because it isn't a Harley." Apparently the 10% policy only applies to Harley Davidson products. I finally found an outfit that was halfway reasonable. $788 a year, with a $1000 deductible. I'm thankful I'm 43 with a perfectly clean driving record...[:@]
Progressive is 2 1/2 times my current Geico policy and I have good credit and no accidents or tickets in the last 15 + years. It's all about where I live. Full coverage on 2 brand new bikes is about $800 a bike. More then my cars.....[:@]
Well, I changed insurrance companies today. I did have farmers, and the policy cost about the same, $300 a year for full coverage. Famers did not offer accressory insurrance or towing. For $285 I got full coverage $3000 in accessory insurrance and towing with a$500 deductable.
Wow, they didn't give me that good of a deal...I think it was about $450 annually with only $1000 accessory insurance. Maybe it's something about being 26?
I had Farmer's Insurance, in Kansas, for years and was suppose to be getting their preferred rates. I switched to Progressive just before I moved to Florida and saved almost 50%.
When hurricane Charlie hit our area in 2004, my boat was totaled and I had a check from Progressive in 10 days. They also put me in their commercial. I had a couple of seconds non speaking spot, where I was shaking the regional director's hand in front of my house. I got $8,500 over the 2 years that they ran the commercial.
Tom

been with progressive for somewhere around 20 years, car, trucks, boat, camper, and bike. They have been very good to me, Wife totaled her cage, I totaled one bike and had a lot of damage on another. super service and rates.
I have Progressive and had a minor claim. I'm very happy with them. AAA rates are high, doesn't not offer chrome coverage, does not have underinsured motorist, and does not have uninsured motorist higher than 20/40 in Michigan. You should purchase uninsured/underinsured liability as high as possible.
