There is a difference between defective and damaged.

Defective = manufacturer

Damaged = seller
I disagree - defective= manufacturer, damaged= shipper (i.e. UPS/Fedex) if it was damaged in shipment. If it was damaged in the box, back to the manufacturer. And the poster I was quoting complained of a defective part, not a damaged one.
AMEN 2007fxdc!! Next thing you know he'll want a discount on the already dicounted parts!!

Good luck on your shocks.

I hope you don't need any service after the sale.

The first time you get burned by one of these companies that don't remember your name after the sale, you'll change your tune.

That "damaged inside the package" argument is just plain odd and makes no sense.

Under your reasoning, there is absolutely no scenario where someone could or should return a defective/damaged item to a retailer.

Interesting and rubbish.

I would still like to here from someone who had a problem and had good customer service after the sale.

And, I don't consider bad customer service a glitch.

I said nothing about a discount.

I just want what I pay for and good customer service.

If you think a discount with poor customer service is acceptable, that's up to you to decide.

I don't.

As to your reference of a discount, NO place in my little short post did I mention the name RAHALL!! Perhaps I should go back and edit the post to read "some people."

Here is what I mean by glitch rahall. We have hundreds of happy Eastern Performance Customers on this forum. Eastern has been a loyal supporter of this forum for over two years. One guy complains and you jump on them like they are some shister/criminal parts empire. If you have't had a problem with Eastern then you don't have a dog in this fight. I was one of the first members to use them and post about them here prior to them becoming sponsors. I had a problem with my Rineharts after a year or so and I called Eastern. They provided me (in a matter of seconds) Bub's phone number and I called and had the replacement part sent to me. Eastern Performance was over $200 cheaper on the Rineharts then my Harley Dealer.

I've never had a problem with EP. I have ordered several things and never had a problem. Sorry you got a bad feeling from them zippyzz. It could be that you just got the one person on the phone that didn't have the best bedside manner. I've always had a good experience with them. I would'nt be surprised if they check this thread and try to at least PM you to make it right some how.

Just fun'n Rahall, seriously, as I stated before earlier I used to work for Eastern in their ebay and website sales dept. They really are a very good company to deal with. I do also agree that this situation could have and should have been handled in a more amicable manner. As my old man used to say "Every fence has two sides but if there's a gate along the way there really is No fence."

Right on Rahall ; we are talking about when there is a problem how the company handles it. I have had things come in damaged before a company called phatpreformance who called the manufacturer themselfs and sent me a new itemdealing with the manufacturer themselfs because theydeal with them on a daliy basis.I went to a local aftermarket shop after my problem with eastern got the rest of my parts there paid a little more but was also told that if there was any damagebring the items back and they would replace it no problem. I'm glad for all that has had no problems with eastern. I am just trying to inform people what happens when you do. No harm in that and to this day I totally know they could of took better care of me in this situation. Just a heads up thank you;end of story as far as I new this forum was to inform people of the good and bad of things that happen.

Sounds to me like they were drop shipped from BUB (or someone else like Drag Specialties)...

In my experience, when damage occurs in tansit it's the party that shipped that has to get the money back from the shipping service...
