I have a 06 Fatboy and the glass on the speedo gauge has pitts and a haze on the inside. I spoke to my dealer and they told me that it is not covered. Is there a way around this?

Two things you can do. Pay to have it replaced, or, get some H-D windshield polish and it will fix it right up. May still have some pits, depending on how deep they are. But it will remove the scratches and other blemishes and make it crystal clear. Be sure to follow the directions.

Did the dealer explain how and why it is not covered? I'd like to hear it. If they ever pull dumb stuff like that on me they will get it back, thru their window. Sorry, did I vent outloud? [8D]

There are a couple of Speedo threads that describe the steps to "lift" the chrome ring off the face so that you can get to the back-side of the glass.
My '08 gets condensation, every Harley I know (or had) gets this. I just call it "charm" and keep riding. Maybe one day it will bother me enough to take the glass off (after taking the guage out of the dash panel).
