Anyone kow where I can get a .pdf of the MSF skills test what will be on it ? I have my test on Sunday and the list was on a page that I left in the classroom. Or can anyone tell me what is on it?
Yes I know they are there to help, just doing extra studying on my own before the test. I found some stuff on the net that may be helpful. I'll post the links here for others that may need them. Heading to bed to get rest for the last day.
Evaluation # 1
2 u-turns (1 left, 1 right) in a 20'x60' box. You will lose points for putting a foot down or crossing a border. Maximum points available = 8
Evaluation # 2
Swerve to the right around an obstacle. You will lose points for hitting the obstacle, braking during the swerve, going too slow (less than 12mph) or swerving in the wrong direction. Maximum points available =15
Evaluation # 3
Quick Stop. You will lose point for Stopping beyond the standard (1 point per foot over), not using both brakes, not downshifting to 1st gear, riding too slow (less than 12mph) or braking before the queue cones. Maximum points available =15
Evaluation # 4
Cornering. You will lose points for not using both brakes before the corner, looking down at the lines or cones, decelerating in the curve, crossing a boundry or riding too slow. Maximum points available =15
If you score between 0-20 you pass. 21 points or more and you will not earn a course completion card or DMV waiver.
Listen to the instructors, relax and have fun. Just do the best you can.
I remember the actual riding part of the test, figure 8 gave mem trouble lost couple points for putting my foot down.
But I'm a tall lanky guy and the bike they gave me was for someone of much less stature.
I think I remember a written test, but it wasn't hard at all, I think it was matching up names of the parts of a bike to a picture. Like will point toleft leverand you have to pick the answer as to what it is. Don't worry about written test.
