Default Any ideas??

This morning I spent some time bolting on all the shiny stuff I'd accumulated over the winter months. I was swapping out the shift levers and rear brake lever for billet style ones. I have the skull logo stuff on my bike, including the shifters and r. brake pad. I got everything changed over on the shifters no problem, but when I went to remove the r. brake pad, to switch it over to the billet lever, the bolt on back was seized. I figured it was just the loctite. I hit it with some WD40 to loosen it up, and after a few minutes give it a shot. It seemed as if it broke loose, but it just spins endlessly, without coming out.It as if it is stripped. I don't believe I broke it off, as not even a portion of it came out.Any ideas on a solution? I checked the price of them at the local stealer, and it runs $80 +, when tax if factored in. Ridiculous for something so small, but what can you expect? I've been working on it off and on all day, but am still having no luck. Any ideas on how to get it out, without destroying the pad, would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Mine was two pieces. The pad has a small screw that holds it to the bracket with the bolt. If I don't remove the pad, the bolt will just spin like you described. Maybe yours is the same.

OK. I've found the small screw and removed it. The pad is still firmly attached, and the bolt on the back is still just spinning. Am I missing something?
