There is a poker run today in OKC, I registered for it about a month ago, but this morning the temp was 17 degrees, light south wind that is supposed to turn out of the north 20 - 30 mph... I'm about an hour south of the city by interstate... I guess I'm just one of those fair weathered riders that everyone talks about... excuse me while I go bury my head in another cup of hot chocolate...
Hey, I was bopping around and I read your comments about the Candy *** run. I did a google search on 'candy ***' and this is what I came up with. It doesn't have anything to do with your run but I thought it was worth sharing.
Call it what you will but that takes the fun out of it for me when it's that damn cold. When I have to bundle up to the point that I can barely move to be warm,I,m out! I,m sure someones going to give you **** on here but for what it's worth Iwould have stayed home myself. I probably wouldn't have bragged about it on here though! Just kiddin. hope it warms up soon for you. PS. it's been about 75 for over week here in northern california![8D]
I am with the most of you all on this one. I hate riding in the cold, I just can't stand the "numb" feeling, the I'l never thaw out thinking and the teeth shattering chill on the face jus plain sux. So I think you did the right thing. My recommendation would be find a shrink for those that rode.
