I think my next ride out I will wrap myself in bubble wrap. That will absorb any impact on to hoods of cars and into wildsheilds.

Or you could get one of those airbag jackets that'll puff up like the stay-puff marshmellow man. Me, I ride in a tank top when it hot.

Do they inflate on impact?

that jacket is pretty cool
I will stick to the bubble wrap. It will let the UV rays come thru so I can work on my tan.[sm=icon_rofl.gif]

When summer hits I will be riding again ( hopefully) in my teeshirts / tank tops and jeans. My riding gear isn't going to change even after going thru someones windsheild.

Three years ago I had a low speed encounter with a cage. Spent 3.5 weeks in the hospital. The leather I was wearing did nothing to prevent the broken bones. My days of being uncomfortable during the summer wearing leather are long gone. Let your choice be your own.

i never wear shorts and always wear boots and gloves. ever taken a bug or rock to the kneecap? even at 40 mph, it hurts like hell. i swore i never would ride with a windshield, but now i rarely take it off. the more you ride, the more you tend gear up. those little close calls wake you up. i do the t shirt thing and have a german non dot helmet. say what you will, but i was hit head on by a car doing about 40 and landed on the guys windshield. nice gash in the helmet but i came out only w/a couple scrapes from the glass. i was lucky but i like the helmet. ever taken a dragonfly to the temple @ 70? juicy little f'ers! ride w/whatever you want as long as my tax dollars dont have to pay for your skingraphs cuz your dumbass doesnt have insurance. ya know what i mean? ok, im off the soapbox now.

Leather isn't designed to prevent broken bones, it is meant to help reduce road rash if you slide.
