I am looking for a thinner walled helmet. When I go to the local places, all they sell are the thick walled helmets. I'm looking for a real thin walled helmet shell. Where can you find these kinds of helmets? I've seen the biker build-offs and various other bike shows and those guys are wearing the helmets I am looking for.

Thin walled helmets? Have you tried the bicycle aisle at Wal-Mart?

Do a google search for "outlaw helmets". I think you'll find what you're looking for that way.

The carbon fiber DOT helmets is something you may want check also.

They are NOT DOT!

I wear a Skid Lid Original which is DOT (below) $50.00.

For serious haulin' azz, I have a $320 (all black) Shoei full face.

Go to an army/navy surplus store or a swapmeet. Don't expect any protection from the helmet, and if you're wearing it only because your in a non-choice state, North Carolina's DOT-only law could spread to your state.
