Bad times

Last year I bought an 07 custom softail. On several occasions the front end starts to wobble. They are checking it out right now. I think it's bad design. Too narrow a front tire. You have to get out of the spot you're riding in or slow down very quickly. The salesman says he has a dyna with the same size tire and it never happened to him. Did this ever happen to anyone else?

Not here. We have a Deuce and a Wide Glide in the stable and I've never noticed anything like that.

Same here I had a 93 FX Springer and Ive got a Chopped 87 Softail now, both with with narrow 21 inch front tires and never had any wobble problems with ether one at speeds of over 100 mph.

Probably a. Bad or loose wheel bearing, b. Bad or loose neck bearings, c. Loose top nut on the triple tree. Tire size doesn't usually cause that.

I have an 07 FXSTC and it is one of the best handling cycles that I ever had. The only bike to beat it was my 69 Norton Commando Fastback.

I run a narrow 21 with no problems . its not the design, there is something wrong or loose on your bike

I'm not a mechanic, but I was told several years ago that a front wheel wobble could be caused by a rear tire being out of balance. Might be worth a check before you spend any more money.
