Hey, what's wrong with a stripper seat? That's what I have on my bike and my wife told me it isn't quite as bad as she thought it would be.
Anyway, I'm not saying you don't need to keep the spending under control. I'm just suggesting you keep in mind what is likely driving impulsive behavior. Minimizing stress helps a lot with keeping impulses under control. That isn't all that matters, but you started out saying you were fighting constantly. If so then that's counter-productive.
Overall, the point is you catch more flies with honey than vinegar. I certainly have no way of knowing whether your issues and concerns are valid or invalid. Rather my point is only that whatever your goals, valid or invalid, some approachs to achieving those goals are more effective than others. Assuming your goals are moral, that you wish to accomplish something you perceive as beneficial to both of you then stress is your enemy.
Your first post said you two were fighting constantly over this. Apparently that isn't working. When what you're doing isn't working then you try something else. What's going to be most effective is find small steps in the right direction he is likely to accomplish so you can praise and compliment him for doing it. Perhaps just setting one night a week aside to go out with you. A nice romantic diner with my wife or polish the bike? Hum, um, diner sounds good, really good. Go inside and have a fight with my wife or stay out here polishing the bike? Boy, the bike sure is dirty. It doesn't matter if staying out there polishing the bike just makes a fight more likely because it's avoiding one for right now. Think about it. If he's impulsive do you think the long-term consequences of his actions plays a big role in his decisions?
Hello everyone... i do not own a Harley... but my fiance' does. since we fight ALOT about this bike or as I like to call it " The other Girlfriend " lol... i figured I would make an attempt on my part andget on this forum to see why he loves his bike so much. Maybe, just maybe, i could grow to love it too...hopefully...lol
I think I see the problem, it is he is not riding the bike ,he is just putting addons on the bike.
Both of you take a ride out of town to the north , ride up to the poconos.
