If we all rode Harleys then they would'nt be special. I never condem anyone who rides another brand of bike ( to their faces ). I am however amazed at how many other brands are now coying the Harley Look. I see so many many fat tired custom machines out there that look like their motors a Harley but their not. One day all these look alike bikes will flood the market and will sell for pennys on the dollar. Your original Harley will maintain it's value much better. Once years ago I lost my mind for about 3 months and sold my Harley and bought a Honda Gold Wing. I was out riding with my Harley friends and felt really uncomfortable about my new Honda. I had to ride out ahead of the group to appreciate the performance qualities of the Wing. Hell I could'nt even hear my Honda running in a crowd of Harleys. The straw that broke the camels back was one summer evening I was riding thru town next to a couple of good looking ladies. At the next stop light I looked over and smiled and as though rehearst they both yelled in unison " Get a Harley" and turned the corner leaving there to anguish in my decision to change to a Honda. Needless to say I came to my scences and bought my Harley back and have never experienced such an event since. Harley is an American Company. I am an American! I am not Japanese, German, Italian or Russian. Give me an American motorcyle to ride in America. Yes I know some of the parts are made in China and Japan and god only knows where else. Thank God the girls that love Harley Riders don't know that?
