Water Cooled Harleys!?
That said, I don't like all foods, I don't like all music, I don't like all sports teams. I certainly don't like all bikes, even ones made by the same motor company. Pans, Knucks, Shovels,EVOS and twin camsare all different designed engines but they still have a common factor...they're all air cooled. I like the EVO on the sportster as well as the twin cam on my road King but I don't care for the V-Rod or its engine.
Yes, it's discrimination. People discriminate every day, They discriminate what pants, shirt, socks and shoes to wear. They discriminate what to eat in the morning, at noon and at dinner. Everyone has a discriminating taste in what music they listen to, movies they watch, friends they have, and jobs they choose to work at.
Everyone discriminates everyday.
Ya.... so true, mywife bought sodium free Bacon the other day (wants us to eat healthy). That went over like a fart in a space suit.

when you think about a water cooled harley other then a v rod, what would be wrong with a queiter running motor with no ticks and taps,a cooler running motor that won't cook you in slow moving to stop and go traffic. more consistant power output, being able to run higher compression with out pinging due to heat. An air cooed Harley may be cool, but when your payin upwards of 23k for a touring model I want something alittle more high tech then a glorified lawnmower motor.,,
And if you wanted something more high tech, buy a metric. I bought a harley so I'd have something that was old fashioned and simple?
As far as riding an aircooled in slow traffic and being cooked, not too many places hotter than here and I have no problem. Yep, it gets warm. But then again, it may not be for some riders as the pussification of the American rider continues.
Harleys remain pretty much the same with incremental changes for the same reason a Fender guitar sold now looks and plays very similar to a Fender guitar made in 1962. It's because people like them for what they are, not what they are not.
I have a touring model (Road King)and it gets 45-47 mpg two up loaded with gear. It's goes and stops fine. That's all the high tech I need.

I personally wouldn't mind seeing a V-rod type engine in all models. If they did that, I'd consider buying one.
Wait a sec, if you're not buying one or owning one, what the @#^! are you doing in this forum? [>:]
