Don't let her into a HD dealer unless you want to pay $300 for a "designer" jacket.
It is very nice though. Called "electrify with switch back". You won't find a prettier one for the ladies. Lavender, white and black. It could be used for all 4 season's unless it's really cold. It has zip off sections, armor and a rain insert.
Then have the same one in different styles. I have a First Gear mesh which I bought on sale for $69 but it's just for warm weather.
Paid $76 from Zanottis for it. You can put armor in it, butIdont likearmor. It is uncomfortable and always looks like a football player in full pads riding down the road.
My wife and I like the Olympia AirGlide Jacket. http://www.olympiamotosports.com/home.html
It has a liner that is waterproof and is great for leaving in the am while cool and packs down to fit in the bag after it warms up. It is made out of the the Cordura material and is very good in a 40 mph slide (don't ask me how I know). It also has the over pants to go with it if she would want those.
I just bought a nice armor jacket for my daily commute. It has the hard forearm/elbow, shoulder protection and soft back armor. It is suprisingly comfortable and looks good. I got it on E-Bay from jacketsforbikers.com for only $159. They have a lot of choices and arrived quickly.
I got a Tourmaster mesh jacket about two weeks ago it is pretty good,it can be cool ,waterproof, warm, depending on which liner you have in or both.Plus it has the armor. It was 150.00 at the Honda shop.

+1 on the Tourmaster Intake. I use it to commute here in Florida, even on the 90+ days. They do have a version for the female riders as well. It was the best all around jacket I could find since it has both a removable insulated liner and a rain liner. Put them all three together and it will work down to about 40 degrees. I know, I've tried it.
I have a First Gear mesh. Has armor in the elbows, shoulders and back. VERY comfortable and has a zip out lining for those not so hot days. I wear it all summer long. Kind of like These... http://www.helmetcity.com/page/HC/CTGY/firstgearwmsjkts
I got a size larger than I normally wear because they are snug.
