He's made it this far, he'll make it the rest of the way!! A month and a half isn't too early but my daughter was born 30 days early about a year and a half ago. She just missed getting sent to the neo-natal unit by a few ounces. 45 days isn't too much earlier than my 30. The way I see it,NOW was his time to come into this world for some reason you guys don't know about yet. The man upstairs has everything taken care of and is in total control including watching over your new son, watching over you, and watching over your wifeon his "To Do list". He won't forget about any of you.Anyone can be a "Dad" but it takes someone special to be a "father".Congratulations and prayers are off to youfor you and your newfamily!
I was born 3 months premature. Here I am 34 years later as healthy as a horse. Hopefully he will pull through just fine. I was in an incubator for several months after my birth as well.
My oldest daughter was 30 days premie. She spent about 4 days in NICU before they released her. I know how you feel. She's now a 19 y/o beautiful young lady. I love her dearly. It helps that she's a "daddy's girl"..........prayer's sent.....
He was due July 13th. On sunday my wife started having spotting(doctor said sometimes normal after intercourse), then little cramps, by 10 at night she got hit with crazy contractions so we called the doctor again and got into the hospital around 11pm. so, well, here he is. he was in critical condition yesterday morning, but they have stabilized him, taken him off the respirator, and into a incubator. They fed him some milk for the first time about an hour ago. My wife got released today, so we can finally go visit him in the Neonatal Intesive Care unit together. It is the hardest thing leaving the hopital without him. I also got to hold my son for the first time today. pretty cool.
Congratulations Dad. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, your son and the rest of your family. Be sure to keep us informed and we look forward to seeing him "One" year pictures nest May.
We are waiting on our first grandson...thought he was coming a couple of weeks ago but is not due until late July. Mother is back home now and all seems to be well. The thoughts that run through your mind when this is going on are hard to deal with but it looks like your photos are of a soon to be healthy baby. Modern medicine can do wonders for premature births and you should have all the confidence in the world that your son will be fine. We certainly hope for the best for you and your family....you're gonna have to teach him to ride you know!
