Get used to it we are going to see major price adjustments in lots of things, gas, batteries,etc. too many economies in the world are tied to the dollar and the dollar is slipping. We have paid artificially low prices for the past few years and those prices are going to start changing dramatically, there's too much pressure on the market for the resources out there. Add to that, the fact that far too many people used their house equity as an ATM machine... now with prices falling...ummm fasten your seat belts boys and girls it's gonna be a bumpy ride. The economy will adjust and stabilize, and quite possibly be stronger for it, but its gonna get bumpy.
I'm predicting $1 drop in prices within the next 6 months.
I'm curious \\;how you arrived at this prediction.
I would guess gasoline prices will continue their upward trend for the next 6 months at least. \\; This is just based on recent price history, and the coming summer vacation season. \\; I don't think people are going to change their driving habits anytime soon. \\;
Acutally driving is down for the first time since 1979 according to the DOT, and a 11 billion mile decrease is a lot of gas. So I would tend to think that Ken might be right. This summer is probably going to be a major loss for theme parks and other vacation destinations.
I've always preferred my bikes as a method of transportation and finally got my wife riding her bike to and from work. So I've parked the HD and we're using the KLR and V-strom because they're averaging 52 and 54 mpgs average. So I can ride all week to and from work for under $20 still. Only using the auto for anything that we can't take care of on a bike. Thank god I live in Florida where I can ride year round.
