Default VIOLATED

no - not parole
my bike
&nbsp\\;
went for a consult at the hospital yesterday (cosmetic dentistry)
&nbsp\\;
parked the bike, came back an hour later
Ignition cover flipped open &amp\\; the starter was engaged on my bike (thats not how I left it)
&nbsp\\;
Middle of the day at a busy hospital - go figure
&nbsp\\;
Questions:
1) Does this happen often? (first time for me)
2) Are alarms helpful? my bikes doesn't have one currently
3) suggestions?
&nbsp\\;
I did have my ignition and forks locked
I was even parked next to another bike (the same bike was still there when I returned from my appointment)
&nbsp\\;
I will get that ***** &amp\\; kick his ****.

My friend that works at the VA hosp in Balto had his tags stolen off his bike in the U/G parking ..even with cameras on it, security couldn't/wouldn't identify tha d*ckhead who did it, ..........................now he uses red locktite and motion sensor with pager, costs money to keep the scumbags at bay

Huh?&nbsp\\; If the ignition and the fork were locked, how is it the starter was engaged?
&nbsp\\;
I don't understand....[]

I had my bike parked at work and watched from a window as a coworker was checking it out.&nbsp\\; He flipped open the ignition cover, turned&nbsp\\;the throttle, and squeezed the brake and clutch levers.&nbsp\\; I know he was just curious and didn't mean any harm but it still iritated me.&nbsp\\; People just dont understand bike etiquett.

If the starter was engaged and the bike was in gear (you do park it in gear right) why didn't it move itself away.&nbsp\\; Never seen the starter engaged on a locked bike.

I am guessing he meant the "off/run" switch was in the "run" position.
