Beater Bike
Looking at a Honda rebel to get to work and back. Want to ride Baby Girl for the fun miles and keep the wear and tear down. Anyone riden one? Like it? Its the only econo bike that looks like a cruiser. The Buell Blast looks like crap.

My wife had a Suzuki GZ250, she rode it for 3 days and went back to the dealer to trade it. I never rode it, her opinion was that it was to small and underpowered. My suggestion to anyone looking for a 250 is the Ninja 250r, I know it's not a cruiser. But you can ride the heck out of it and it'll run with traffic no problem, good gas mileage also. \\;

See? Those Honda commercials on the forum are getting something done. I've thought about a beater bike myself. I rode a rebel 250 a long time ago, that lacked power bigtime, It's going to be hard for you to get off the harley and on to something so small, you might want to think about at least a shadow 750.

Most 250s feel gutless, except the Ninja 250. That is a helluva bike. A lot of fun can be had on Shadows or Vulcans in the 500-600cc range, with way better MPG than your BT. If you're also looking at standards, the Versys or Wee-Strom are also fun. I'm leaning towards getting a Versys myself. Way too much fun for 55-60 MPG.
