Default Transition Sunglasses

I'm curious to see what the general census of the best pair or brand is. I hear one problem is them not getting dark enough. I know I'm tired of carrying a tinted lens and a clear lens glasses when I ride, so if I can find a good pair of transition glasses I'd be happy.

I wear transitions all the time since I need prescription glasses. They work fine for me and I'm a little sensitive to glare. Also wear a full face with a clear shield but that doesn't cut out anything. If you get some, as they go through cycles over time, they will&nbsp\\;get darker than when brand new, or so I've been told.

When I got a prescription I ordered the transitions with anti-glare.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; I had trouble at night with oncoming cars and the anti-glare worked great.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; I spent near $400 on them and within a month I lost them.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; Aaargh!&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; What I didn't like about the transitions was that they did not get dark enough for me.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; Also&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;if I was driving my cage they didn't work because when you're inside they won't get dark.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; I'd have to take them off and put them on the dash board for a bit to let the sun darken them.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; Viscious cycle that didn't work.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; So I replaced them with a regular pair, with&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;anti-glare, that has the magnetized sunglasses attachment.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; They've been working out great!

I'm looking at some prescription glasses now, trying to find the right frames that can accept my prescription...
&nbsp\\;
I ran across an eye doc place that showed me these as an option: http://www.drivewearlens.com
&nbsp\\;
They did not have a sample on site. I contacted the mfg, and they're sending the eye doc place a sample package, so I can check them out. Says never recommends any tinting for night vision, but I thought if I looked at them, maybe they'd be ok for night riding, not sure yet.

The thing that intrigued me about them, it appeared as if they got darker than traditional transition lenses. They're polarized, unlike traditional transitions. And, they will activate (according to their claims) in a vehicle, unlike traditional transistions.
&nbsp\\;
So, it defnitely looks promising, just don't get completely clear like transitions at night, so I want to see it first hand before I order any.

I use Bobster with the photochromic lense.&nbsp\\; I think that's the same as transitional.&nbsp\\; I like 'em.&nbsp\\;

try these 2 webpages

http://www.7eye.com/
this one above does perscriptions and also you can have the lens go dark in the day and turns clear or yellow at night...the cup inside comes out also if you just want to wear them if you're not riding...neat

As I understand it the issue with them not getting dark enough is due to the polycarbonate material of the typical lens.&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; If you get prescription lenses they're fine.&nbsp\\; I didn't go that route deciding instead to just get a changeable lense system.&nbsp\\; Another thing I decided against was the polarized lenses.&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; I find the weird color spectrum you get looking through the wind or&nbsp\\; helmet shield very annoying.
