I'm in the market for motorcycle trailer...
I see a lot of trailers with 12" wheels.. what are your feelings of this size tire on a trailer for pulling a bike for a distance (1,000 miles or so).
I just pulled my '07 Deuce 1100 miles using a single rail Port-A-Chopper with 12" wheels. \\; Worked great and would highly recommend. \\; They sale with an 8" wheel if you prefer.
12" C rated tires are fine. \\;\\\\\\; Even if you have 15" tires all trailer manufacturers state that the trailer is to be towed at 55 mph. \\;\\\\\\; That is to avoid liability if you crash.
This thumbnail is of the 4 X 8 Harbor freight trailer that I just finnished setting up to do a 2K run.
It has the 12 " by 5.30 tires. \\; You notice I carry two spares.
