Default trailer question

I'm in the market for motorcycle trailer...
I see a lot of trailers with 12" wheels.. what are your feelings of this size tire on a trailer for pulling a bike for a distance (1,000 miles or so).

I have a 1976 trailer with 4.80 x 12" tires.&nbsp\\; It has been pulled all over the east coast for decades with no problems.

I just pulled my '07 Deuce 1100 miles using a single rail Port-A-Chopper with 12" wheels.&nbsp\\; Worked great and would highly recommend.&nbsp\\; They sale with an 8" wheel if you prefer.

I prefer 14 inch or 15 inch tires they turn slower less heat for the same speed.

12" C rated tires are fine.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; Even if you have 15" tires all trailer manufacturers state that the trailer is to be towed at 55 mph.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; That is to avoid liability if you crash.

This thumbnail is of the 4 X 8 Harbor freight trailer that I just finnished setting up to do a 2K run.
It has the 12 " by 5.30 tires.&nbsp\\; You notice I carry two spares.

&nbsp\\;Smaller wheel trailer = lower weight capacity . Larger wheel = higher&nbsp\\;weight capacity . Thus , larger wheel can serve as&nbsp\\; multi -purpose&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;trailer.&nbsp\\;
