Hooper, do sort of what Pococj says..I rode in the late 50s and 60s and trust me, I was in the Navy and could ill afford any fancy things for my bike but perhaps new tires, and I got the cheap ones, no white side walls..If you ride long enough, hard enough and far enough, your bike will look like it is well used, that is what Nostalgic look is all about

I'm not sure how you would mount it, but the old cabbage slicer rear bumper would really add to the "old" look. There is a large wall poster of three young boys drooling over an early fifties panhead with big letters, "TEX" on the bags that show the rear fender luggage rack and the rear bumper very clearly.
