Default tool bag on the frame

Picked up a headlight nacelle for the Sporty, now I'm gonna move the tool bag down low on the frame. Does the exhaust/ engine heat&nbsp\\;mess with stuff in the bag?

Just don't carry your drugs in your tool bag, then you won't have a heat issue

I'm thinking of doing the same thing after I read the thread about the dented fender.&nbsp\\; I'm going to see if I can find a spot to mount the bag, but I'm more concerned about having anything up front that would restrict air flow to the front cylinder or voltage regulator.&nbsp\\; Maybe that's not a big concern, because the rear cylinder is pretty well blocked by the front. Anyway, if you've only got tools in your bag I don't think the engine/exhaust heat will hurt anything, except maybe dry out the leather faster (but you can always oil it more often).&nbsp\\; Besides, the cooler air from the front will push the engine heat to the rear and away from&nbsp\\;your bag&nbsp\\;while you're riding.&nbsp\\; I'm thinking we'll be OK unless we strap the bags to the pipes.

I'm probably wrong but I had my bag on my front forks and it felt like the bike was running hotter than usual so I took it off.&nbsp\\; My concern was that is was blocking the airflow over the engine.
