Cool trip with some awesome memories for you and your mom. The pic of the route 66 sign on the hiway is the same one Ive got on my cell phone screen. Pretty cool.

Thanks for the pics and the story. Great move to take your Mom. I wish I would have done that with my Mom before she passed. I think she would have gone and she would have loved it.

Pretty cool bar/restaurant ...... those are all dollar notes stuck up by the customers, that's just one wall, the whole place was covered, approx. 50,000 of them.....
Coffee takeaway/Drive-in........ Actually 2 containers stacked up together.
Good o'll family diner....... Just can't beat the burgers n' steaks they throw your way.....
Damn, I miss the States.

What a great trip with your mother.Kudos to her.Thats a lot of time in the saddle.Wish I could do the same with my mother.Shes 83.Not well enough to do it, although she wants to! Great pictures, been to several.Nothing like it!

man, not sure whether it's me, my comp or the forum but i can't seem to post sometimes. Anyhow, finally got the pics loaded to photobucket....... Last few......
One of the best burgers I ever ate.......... Buffalo burger in Oatman. Don't think I ever had one of them before.
Finally a pic of the bike I used to take my MC endorsement on. \\; Got myself a U.S. license again and had to add the MC.
All in All, trip for the books.
 \\;Favorite Route 66 State..... Illinois. Damn, they take the route real serious and have a whole tourist industry built up around it. They really do do a great job of promoting it. I would definitely recommend anyone wanting to do a portion of the 66, .........to do the Illinois leg. Would only take a few days, and you'll have a blast.
