Sometimes I like to read those posts just to get a handle on the psyche of the poster. Come-on, what kind of person is going to ask a bunch of strangers what color bike to buy? They should be talking to a psychologist instead. Shure, there are a lot of things to agononize over when trying to decide which bike to get, because there are so darn many variations nowadays, but things like model, style, color, etc. have to come from somewhere inside YOU! And there are a ton of legitimate questions a newby can ask to break the ice. Unless, of course, they are among the new generations of Americans who think that spelling and grammer, in the english language, are a big waste of time.
Hey Oldcorps what the hell is that there word...agononize. I am also one of those people that don't come to the forum for English lessons just to post some questions and see what goes on in the world of other people that enjoy Harley's. I would not ask someone else what colour bike to buy though I have to agree. But I might ask opinions on comfort, handling etc. There, I got yet another post. By the way no one responded to my seat question. What's up, do you only reply to rant on questions here or what.[sm=chairshot.gif][sm=rant.gif]. Think I left out a comma.

why not just get the seat, its your a$$; do you think after reading all the above that anyone really cares what seat you buy
as for the stupid, boring or yet waste my time questions, guess we all can just do a search and have nothing to talk about... That would be boring. so ask away folks.. screww-em I say
I've been dealing with the "seat question" myself lately; finally decided on a Corbin in either the rumble seat or the dual touring. I'm driving to Daytona tomorrow to look at both of them and make the decision.
In case someone refers to my previous post about seats---the guy who was going to pick it up for me couldn't get it on his bike to carry it back to the motel. I didn't realize when I asked him, that there was no automobile traffic allowed on main street durring bike week, hence my trip tomorrow. It's about 200 miles round trip, so I guess about the same price as shipping but I get it a week sooner.
Oh, and most of the replys to the original post are being taken out of context. What color bike to buy is still a stupid azz question.
