I'm the proud owner of a 1987 FXLR Custom, the 10-year anniversary edition. \\; Looks totally different from the regular '87 FXLR. \\; According to HD, only two colors of this bike were manufactured, and only 615 bikes in this color (candy-brandy wine) were manufactured/sold. \\; My brother bought it new in '87 in upstate NY. \\; My problem is I don't know how to accurately appraise what the bike is worth on the open market. \\; No one I've found has ever seen a bike like it, including the techs at the HD dealerships in the area. \\; When I first purchased it from my brother I searched through \\;every HD book I could find, but no luck. \\;Couldn't find it listed on the Internet anywhere, either. \\; Finally a coworker brought in a 1991 Edition of the official HD Big Book he had at home where this bike was listed.  \\;
 \\;
Anyone have an idea of how I can find out what the bike is worth? \\; It's in really great shape, with 37,000 actual miles. \\;  \\; \\;
So in celebration, [HD gotta party, lotta loooowwwww riders], the FXLR has even more flavors in both the 'Custom Anniversary Edition' with anniversary graphics on both fenders and the tank\\\\\\; as well as in the form of the 'Anniversary Low Rider' with a 10th Anniversary leather center tank strap. There was also an FXRC Special thrown in there to make damn sure you had an FXR to chose from, (736 produced). [Got it,...................................good].
 \\;\\\\\\; Personally, I'd say it's worth \\;\\\\\\; a few dollars more than a stock Fxlr. \\;\\\\\\; \\;\\\\\\; These limited editions, including mine, have no real value over the stock bike. \\; \\; \\;
