I went down once about 37 years ago. It sucked but I managed to land on my hand, shoulder and butt. That is a rough picture-hope she healed okay and hope you \\;weren't driving. I would never hear the end of that. My girlfriend burnt her leg on my exhaust and I still hear about that. Who would have thought exhaust pipes get hot? \\;

I do not wear a helmet ever, but then I ain't the sharpsest tack in the box. The picture above is my girlfriend with a 3/4 helmet. \\;\\\\\\; A full face helmet would have prevented all the face trama. \\;\\\\\\; You decide!
She healed just fine - barely any scars at all. \\; She was the driver - but was on my Dyna at the time. \\; The Dyna healed up just fine too. \\; a few thousand $'s of new chrome took care of it.

I would suggest giving a Modular style some consideration on the full face helmet.
I had an HD-branded HJC modular and so did my wife. The hinge is a weak point. My wife dropped hers in the driveway, and the whole damn face shield popped off the hinges. They are also larger, heavier, and noisier...more prone to buffeting, even the $$$ ones.
I wear an HCI Polo on the Harley but I have several fullface helmets for riding my ZX10R. \\; I prefer the KBC VR2 Stealth for fit and seal, but the built-in retractable sunscreen in my HJC FS-10 is nice. \\;
